Building a brand and digital presence in the drive for the UK to be the global leader in financial innovation

The Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technology (CFIT) is a UK Government and City of London backed organisation whose purpose is to ensure the UK can be a leader in fintech start-ups and the best place in the world to scale a business and take solutions from IP creation through to widespread adoption. CFIT’s aim is to solidify the UK as the global leader for financial services innovation.

The project

Create a brand, website and digital presence from a standing start.

The challenge

CFIT needed to create their entire brand, digital presence and marketing materials within a very tight time frame of 4 weeks as part of a requirement to receive funding and launch the organisation within Government timeline requirements.

Our approach

Phase 1

Setup project coordination across all internal stakeholders, external consultants and other contributors

Phase 2

Set a strict schedule based around sprints to design the brand and build the most important pages of the CFIT website site

Phase 3

Designed 5 logo options and worked with CFIT team on the needed amends and changes to finalise a logo and brand identity that met CFIT’s vision

Phase 4

Created the final brand and created brand guidelines around this. Designed and developed the launch site within the 4-week timeframe

Phase 5

Set out a strategy for a UI upgrade and round 2 development phase for the growth of the site

The result

We completed all works within the deadlines and delivered all required materials for the launch event and other important launch milestones. Delivered a highly recognisable brand that is being used across the UK financial services and fintech landscape, and a website that is engaging and building core audiences that comprise a range of players in the wider financial services ecosystem.
